WebsitesThere are A LOT of websites on Autism.  Here are ones we have used & continue to use to help us.   If you have a website that was helpful to you that you would like to share, please send it to us and give us some input on why the site was/is beneficial.

1.       Autism society of America:  http://www.autism-society.org/
We recommend linking to your local chapter page as well for local meetings, support & education.
2.       Generation Rescue:  http://www.generationrescue.org/
There is a lot of great information on bio-medical treatment & if you navigate to the resources page and select “Find a Rescue Angel” that is where I was able to find a local mother to help guide me.
3.       Autism Center:  http://www.autismcenter.org/
This is a facility that focuses on providing resources for families.  There are experts on staff for any topic you may require help with.
4.       Division of Developmental Disabilities Services (DDD):  Search on this along with the name of the state in which you reside and you will be directed to your local resource.  This page is helpful in obtaining state services for your child.
5.       Department of Education:  Search on this along with the name of the state in which you reside and you will be directed to your local resource.   This page is helpful for information & resources within the public school system
Books:  Below is a list of books that have been a great resource to us from educating us about Autism to providing resources for particular topics we needed help with.
